Teacher’s Day Celebration
Rising waves touch shingles on the beach and make them feel their frothy existence. They recede and their roarings keep reverberating. Synonymous is an academic ocean where the guidelines of mentors keep rising every moment and embracing the personality of each and every child. “ To teach is to touch a life forever.” Keeping alive the spirit of Teacher’s Day which is being celebrated in the memory of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, a great teacher, the premises of The Lucknow Public Collegiate, Jopling Road adorned the principles laid by him on this occasion.
The day encompassed in its various moments the reflections of a great teacher in the form of a mentor, friend, counsellor and a therapist. Snake and ladder, hoopla ring, titles, red and green light made the activities in the field entertaining. It was a refreshing break from the hectic schedule of a classroom. More rejuvenating was the dance performance by the senior class students. The energy in the dance movements was symbolizing their bond with the mentors. Every expression in their eyes incorporated the affection with their guides who have polished and nurtured them and made them flourish. The group song by them reflected the spirit of obedience, sincerity, trust and learnings. Their vibrant demeanour was itself enough to speak out their bond. The day was marked with words of wisdom by the Director of the Collegiate, Dr. Jawaid Alam Khan.
