The Effulgence: A Lively Kaledioscope of Literature, Music and Dance at TheLucknow Public Collegiate, Jopling Road

John Keats said “A thing of beauty is a joy forever”. It was a thing of beauty only for The Lucknow Public Collegiate, Jopling Road as their cultural extravaganza Effulgence 2025 was organised on 23 rd November 2025 with a lot of vigour. Unfolding in its lap was the cultural odyssey of sensational performances of singing, drama and dance. Entire premises of the Collegiate was decked with cut outs of
flowers, lights and balloons to foreshadow the great spectacle that was about to take place in the evening. Rocking performances accompanied with lights and sounds and a witty anchoring made it in reality a megashow.

It was a miniature world of artists which became a wonderland of actors, dancers and singers. The show witnessed varied aspects of stage performance. The varied panorama of events included programmes Harmony of Angels, Old School Symphony, Life in Full Rhythm, Echoes of Chauk Puraon and Kathak Sargam which sent a wave of excitement as these melodious verses reverberated the varied Indian culture, childhood nostalgia, welcome of guests and a song to raise your spirits.

Theatre was not left behind in this race of expressions. The plays taking their theme from the world of Witches, Mermaids, Highlands, treatment given to guests showcased a world of mini artists. The hilarious and supernatural plays included The Little Mermaid, Alena and the Magic Escape, A Horse and Two Goats and Atithi tum Kab jaoge. The children dressed in multicolour dresses and representing the
characters gave a lively presentation of their acts. The dive to this dreamland witnessed a lot of expressions, gestures and applause.

The show was graced by dignitaries of the field of education. Few members from the Managing body of the Collegiate became a part of this cultural odessey. The Chairperson of the Collegiate Mr. Sartaj Alam Khan and the Director of the Collegiate Dr. Jawaid Alam Khan embraced the euphoric Annual Concert with words of appreciation for the entire team. The other dignitaries included Joint Director of the
Collegiate and the Principal Mr Rajiv Gupta. The event was a testimony to the fact that there was beauty hidden in every expression, every act, every word spoken, every word sung and every dance action. That became a “ joy forever” transforming into a legend of the session 2025-26.
