Independence Day and Inter-House Speech Choir Competition at The LucknowPublic Collegiate, Jopling Road: A Patriotic Chorus

The spirit of a patriot is best seen in the persona of a soldier. To pay tribute to those soldiers of the nation who sacrificed their life to free their country from the fetters of the English rule, 80 th Independence Day was celebrated in the premises of The Lucknow Public Collegiate, Jopling Road 15 th August 2026. The day became redolent of the countless martyrdom just to gain the glory of our motherland. Flag hoisting ceremony early in the morning, singing of National Anthem and the reminiscent speeches paved
the way for the national aroma to be felt by the young nationals . A message that was circulated by the Director of Education and State Minister, Secondary Education Uttar Pradesh splashed an aura of patriotism.


Accompanying this patriotic fervour was the Inter-House Speech Choir Competition in which the students of classes VIth to VIIIth participated. The budding choirs draping the essence of Saffron, White and Green presented before the elite panel of judges the echoes of humanity, peace, nature, optimism, affection. They were tested on the basis of voice modulation, pronunciation and presentation. Sapphire House outshined other houses by becoming the winner of the competition. Emerald and Ruby House secured first and second runner up position. Not only did the choruses were echoing but also the resilience and the physical strength of Taekwondo performers. Safegaurding oneself is the biggest need of the hour. Imbibing the ideals of the tricolour, they depicted the inherent mental strength. A lively dance performance complimented the entire patriotic feast with the pledge to uphold the integrity of their country. The Joint Director of the Collegiate Ma’am Fareha Khan articulated the need to bring harmony in nation through education and in her address saluted the spirit of the nationalism in young students.
