Present always echoes of past. Flipping the memory lanes of a legacy is the celebration of Founders’ Day. Keeping the same thought in mind, the management, staff members and the children of The Lucknow Public Collegiate, Jopling Road celebrated 40th Founders’ Day on 15 th September 2026 with immense pride and honour. The day was a tribute to the Founders who laid the foundations on 15 th
September 1986. It was a day redolent of that legacy which focussed on diligency, discipline and dedication. With “Success Through Labour” engraved in the characteristic persona of every mentor and student, the Collegiate echoed of various milestones in recent years.
As a means of paying tribute to those who envisioned a dream of imparting education to so many students in a day- boarding school, plethora of competitions were organised like Rangoli making, face painting and poster making competition. Colouring the canvas and the floors with their brush of creativity they showcased their inherent talent. In junior category Wajiha Qureshi and Bismillah Adyan of Ruby
House and in senior category Mihir Sharma and Ahad Hussain clinched the title of the winner in Face Art making the curves of the faces dynamic. Outshining other participants, Amber House participants shined in Poster Making Competition as Ishanvi Kashyap and Aadhya from junior category and Hidaya Daulat and Jinal Prashant from senior category made a significant mark by securing first position.
Manya Kesarwani and Namrata Dev Bhardwaj of Ruby House in junior category clinched the title of the winner of Rangoli Competition. In senior category it was Amber House and Ruby House shining as they both were the winners. The participants were Saloni Kashyap and Alisha Zara from Amber House and Shaurya Yadav and Shivanshi from Ruby House. Delivering eloquent speeches in English and Hindi the mentors brought forth that ideology of the Collegiate which was laid at the time of its foundation in the year 1986. Soft boards were echoing of the years of hard work in carrying forward that vision. These activities were a means of extending a vision beyond classroom boundaries. With the passage of years, the Collegiate has flourished keeping pace with the modern time.
The fun- filled activities kept the mood jovial spreading a message of happiness and merriment among the faculty members and the students. The Joint Director of the Collegiate Ma’am Fareha Khan’s message focussed on the role of holistic education for the youth and for their nation. The day concluded with the remembrance of the ideals and philosophy of the founders on this auspicious occasion. The students and the staff members took an oath to maintain the dignity of the Collegiate and continue to strive for excellence.
