Speaking and articulating gives one immense power to communicate. To communicate profound thoughts of Poets and the famous public figures encompassing a world nature, sports, women empowerment, youth, determination, education, tears and smiles, childhood, rainbow to name a few, one must rigorously strive to get those expressions and demeanour. The students of junior and senior section of The Lucknow Public Collegiate, Jopling Road participated with full vigour in an Inter-House English Elocution on 25 th August 2025 with the aim of mastering the art of public speaking. Donning the role of eminent poets and the orators with the words flowing and impacting the judges to the extent that giving a verdict of this duel of expressions became a tough task. As this literary euphoria was in progress the
participants from the junior section including classes VI to VIIIth kept on making everyone enchanted with their eloquent poetry pieces. Accompanying actions added meaning to the words. Words becoming meaningful conveyed message to all.
The senior section comprising classes IXth to XII made this eloquent Odyssey memorable by their fiery speeches of eminent public figures. Malala Yousufzai, Oprah Winfrey, Nupur Mala, Hillary Clinton, John. F . Kennedy to name a few of them . What resulted was a powerful rendition of expressions and emotions. The crisp facts and messages came to light by the budding orators. Memorising the content was a tough task but the enthusiasm to be the cynosure of the competition was alive in them. The content, delivery, pronounciation and expressions were the criterias on which they were judged. They were the ones who were sharpened on the anvil of eloquence. The result was justified and a deserving one. The silver- tongued orators Agrima Raj and Ishan Sharma from the Sapphire House junior and senior
section respectively secured the title of the winner of the competition.
