Embracing the art of Public Speaking


Language is a powerful means of communication. Entering into an arena of public speaking requires language to convey facts, logic and arguments with precision. Keeping the same spirit in mind The Lucknow Public Collegiate, Jopling Road organised Inter-School ASISC Zonal level Senior category Debate on 6 th August 2026. The day became witness to fiery session by the young debaters who were ready to make a significant mark by their convincing arguments. The enriching session was presided by an elite panel of judges and experienced moderator. The competition included students of classes XI and XIIth. The topic of the debate was Complete Digital Economy will benefit the Vulnerable Population. The arguments presented in favour and against the motion comprised facts, datas, real life examples. Their content and delivery was tested. Emerging victorious in this duel of expression was Lucknow Public College ,A Block Rajajipuram clinching the title of best speaker for and against the motion. The first runner up for the motion was secured by City Montessori Rajajipuram while against the motion was secured by City Montessori School, LDA colony Kanpur Road. The second
runner up for the motion was secured by City Montessori School , LDA colony, Kanpur Road while against the motion was secured by St. Anne’s Convent School.

The moderator and the time keeper kept capturing the moments of precision, truth and logic. Digital world was brought forth to light. Different aspects like mobile money, e- commerce, digital divide, and job shifts were touched upon. A unique way of looking at digital economy came up by those young, budding debaters who were tested on the anvil of public speaking. The Joint Director of the Collegiate Ma’am Fareha Khan motivated the budding orators and the teacher incharges for orga ising competitions where they get confidence and power to articulate. The Principal Mr. Rajiv Gupta appreciated the efforts of the participants to organise their thoughts and speak within the stipulated time duration. The judges awarded the winners with the certificates which made their day lively.
